Corrections Hiring Event

The first step is to fill out an application.
Next, attend a Hiring Event (includes both physical ability and a written assessment). Once candidates complete their assessments they will be offered an interview a few days following.
DUTIES: Corrections Officers perform intake and release functions, floor monitoring, serving at the control counter, preparing and filing reports, supervision of inmates, and other related functions. This is an entry-level position. Successful candidates have the opportunity to advance through a career development program within the Sheriff’s Office.
